Located in South Yorkshire I offer RYA Powerboat Courses and RYA Race Coaching days as an approved instructor and race coach.
I can also assist with sailing events, be it needing an extra safety boat or mark layer, I’m more than happy to assist where possible. Travel is not an issue for us as the equipment is maintained regularly.
Why Support GP Marine
As an individual who has been involved in sailing for over 10 years, I have the passion to help out the sailing community to the best of my ability.
In 2021 I was awarded with the RYA’s Young Volunteer Award for the volunteering that I have done at my local sailing club.
In the last few years I have attended multiple skills development days including a regional mark laying course.
I have also been assisting at larger RYA youth events on mark laying roles, where we’ve had over 150 sailors on the course at once.
RYA Powerboat Level 2
RYA Powerboat courses are in partnership with Ulley Sailing Club, however it will be instructed by me.
RYA Safety Boat
RYA Safety Boat courses are a vital asset in the dinghy support side of events. With training on how to recover different types of craft, basic role in race management and how to lay marks.
This course follows on with the skills that are covered in the RYA PBL2 course.
Event Support
Are you running an event but stuck for resources and people?
I can help with multiple events in different roles where it’s needed.
I can provide safety cover, mark laying ability or additional coaching. All of this and the ability of me to bring a RIB to your event.
I have experience of all sorts of different venues, from inland to costal with large swell.
I also hold a RYA Day Skipper and have my Yacht Master Theory as well and have over 1000 miles at sea.

This Saturday I’m off to the seaside to support the North East & Yorkshire Youth Sailing event at Filey Sailing Club where I will be mark laying and providing safety support for youth sailors from across the North of England. ![]()

On Sunday I’m back “home” to provide some youth training for Ulley Sailing Club’s Youth Squad.
What a great long weekend away, with a bunch of fantastic people. ![]()
We went up to Ullswater and sailed the whole length of the lake and back in a day, with our rib providing safety cover for our group. ![]()
We even managed to witness the northern lights on the Friday night, something that I can’t grantee in the future.![]()
This weekend saw us take just over 20 people up there for some on the water enjoyment.
